PHIL MADSEN
New Zealand singer-songwriter, Phil Madsen, is the second youngest of a musical family of eight children. No stranger to the stage, the multi-instrumentalist has been performing since the age of four. Recognised for his impressive vocal range, Phil has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the business including Air Supply, Cher, Hank Marvin, Hootie & the Blowfish, The Pointer Sisters, Spandau Ballet and has just finished the New Zealand tour with two of the leading stars from Westlife and Boyzone – Boyzlife.
In November 2017 Phil joined Eddie Rayner’s show ‘ENZO’ in Melbourne Australia, performing the songs of Split Enz - the original band before it reformed into ‘Crowded House’ - alongside an 18- piece orchestra. They have just finished the New Zealand tour receiving excellent reviews.

Phil has two top 20 hits under his belt and won ‘Top Male Vocalist’ at the New Zealand Variety Artist Awards in 2013 and has self-produced two albums – ‘Mr Yellow Tree’ and 'This World'. His song ‘Dancing on the Moon' was awarded a top-five nomination in the APRA Silver Scroll Awards and ‘This World' climbed to number one in the Singer-Songwriter Charts on i-Tunes.
In 2020 Phil will begin his solo tour - ‘One Man, 5 Voices’ - performing original songs and covering famous artists including Queen, The Eagles, The Bee Gees and Neil Diamond.
As well as performing at major public events – including America's Cup opening ceremony and homecoming celebrations, Coca Cola Christmas in the Park, SKYCITY Starlight Symphony – Phil regularly performs at private functions and writes and sings commercials for local and multi- national corporations.
